Soft robots have applications in safe human–robot interactions, manipulation of fragile objects, and locomotion in challenging and unstructured environments. In this article, we present a computational method for augmenting soft robots with proprioceptive sensing capabilities.
During the last years, Electrocardiographic Imaging (ECGI) has emerged as a powerful and promising clinical tool to support cardiologists. Starting from a plurality of potential measurements on the torso, ECGI yields a noninvasive estimation of their causing potentials on the epicardium.
During the last years, attention and controversy have been present for the first commercially available equipment being used in Electrocardiographic Imaging (ECGI), a new cardiac diagnostic tool which opens up a new field of diagnostic possibilities.
In this publication the u-w finite strain formulation is enhanced with a Generalized Plasticity model for sands. The new model is numerically solved using an Optimal Transportation Meshfree approach that is best suited for numerical analysis at finite strains.
A novel methodological approach to calibrate and validate three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) groundwater flow and geomechanical models has been implemented using Advanced Differential Interferometric SAR (A-DInSAR) data.
This work numerically investigates the effects of using dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma actuators to control the deformation and the hydrodynamic properties of the well-known fluid–structure interaction(FSI) benchmark presented by Turek and Hron.
